Instacash Launches Paperless Funeral Cover

Instacash and Liberty Life Insurance Swaziland have partnered to launch an affordable funeral cover.

The announcement of the funeral cover took place at the Instacash Service Centre earlier today, with the presence of Liberty Life Insurance Swaziland Management, Instacash Management, and staff.

In his address, Mandla ‘Cheeks’ Nxumalo, the Managing Director of Instacash, emphasized the importance of the funeral cover in advancing the company’s primary goal of financial inclusion. He stressed that convenience is a top priority for Instacash, and expressed gratitude to the Liberty team for their hard work in making the funeral cover accessible to their customers.

Mangaliso Shabangu, the Managing Director of Liberty Life Insurance Swaziland, also underscored the significance of the funeral cover in promoting financial freedom, convenience, and affordability.

Shabangu further announced that there are plans to introduce more products under this programme, thereby expanding the range of financial services available to Instacash customers.

One of the key highlights of the funeral cover is its affordability, as it will cost E15 for Instacash customers who are registered on the platform. It is important to note that this is a member-only product, and Instacash customers will be required to opt in to avail of the funeral cover.

Additionally, the waiting period for the cover is three months, which is significantly shorter than the usual waiting period for similar products in the country. This makes it the cheapest funeral cover available in Eswatini, further enhancing its appeal to potential customers.

Nxumalo noted that the introduction of the funeral cover represents a significant milestone in the financial services sector in Eswatini.

“It not only expands the range of products available to Instacash customers but also underscores the commitment of both Liberty and Instacash to promoting financial inclusion and freedom. The emphasis on convenience and affordability further demonstrates the customer-centric approach adopted by both companies, as they strive to meet the diverse needs of their customer base.”

The companies noted that the launch of the funeral cover is a testament to the innovative spirit and commitment of both companies to providing accessible and affordable financial solutions to their customers.

“It is a step in the right direction towards achieving greater financial inclusion and freedom for individuals in Eswatini and sets a new standard for the financial services industry in the country. As the funeral cover becomes available to Instacash customers, it is expected to have a positive impact on the lives of many individuals and families, providing them with much-needed financial security during difficult times,” Nxumalo stated.
