Eswatini’s leading telecommunications service provider (winner of the best network award in Eswatini 2022) MTN Eswatini has made its customers’ lives much easier with the embedded Subscriber Identification Module (eSIM). This electronic eSIM chip is permanently implanted into one’s cellphone motherboard.
The transition from the regular SIM card to eSIM is so seamless that a purchase of an eSIM worth only E10 will guarantee customers the ability to store multiple numbers in one eSIM, saving them from the hassle of finding injectors to poke SIM card holders in order to eject physical SIM cards.
The eSIM has the added ability to store multiple network details and logins providing frequent travellers with the advantage of remotely switching from one network to another.
This modern technology with improved network reception has been availed to all customers who have compatible cell phones.
For interested customers, all it takes is to verify the compatibility of their gadgets and then visit any MTN service centres to register and activate the eSIM.
“MTN Eswatini is excited about this development because it means our customers no longer have to possess multiple SIM cards to switch around when travelling. It is a secure option for our customers because it cannot be removed in case of a lost or stolen handset. Our service centres are ready and waiting to assist customers with a seamless switch to a SIMless connection,” notes Corporate Affairs Manager, Thandiwe Mashinini.
