Swaziland Building Society Offers Convenient Digital Platforms

By Inside Biz

Swaziland Building Society (SBS) offers one of the most convenient and cost-effective digital platform services in the country.

One of the digital platforms that are available to customers of the SBS is the e-pocket which enables one to make easy pre-paid payments for electricity and airtime, amongst other things.

“In order to be eligible for this service, one must be an SBS customer with a transactional account registered on *800#. Furthermore, e-pocket cash withdrawals can be at SBS Automated Teller Machines (ATM),” said SBS Manager Marketing Veli Dlamini.

He mentioned that customers could also use the platform to send money to any registered mobile money account and do their own inter-account money transfers without visiting a branch.

“Customers can also transfer from transactional or savings accounts to permanent and subscription shares accounts,” he said.

Dlamini stated that customers can also pay for their water bills using this facility.

“The payment reflects immediately, then the proof of payment is sent through SMS. The platform keeps a history of transaction numbers, that is, recently used favorites for mobile number, meter number, and account number,” he explained.

Dlamini further mentioned that the digital platform enabled SBS customers who hold transactional accounts to buy, pay, and transact using their mobile devices.

These accounts are Spatji Savings, Ordinary Savings, Special Savings, or Gold Savings accounts.

“With the platform, it is now even easier to do your banking on the move. It gives members another way to manage their money easily and safely,” added Dlamini.
